Hi, I'm Sharon.

Your instructor, and your biggest cheerleader.

I spent 10 years in corporate accounting, and I've now been teaching for 22 years through continuing education and workforce development programs at universities and colleges. I've spent my career on both sides of the numbers: producing them and explaining them to the people who rely on them.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Education from Temple University, a Pennsylvania Department of Education teaching certificate in Accounting, and I'm a Certified Online Instructor.

But here's what matters most: so many smart, capable professionals walk in convinced they're "not a numbers person." Most of them are wrong. They just never had it explained clearly.

That's my job. Plain English, step by step, until it clicks.

Questions? Good. Here Are the Answers.

  • Should I take Accounting & Finance first?

It’s recommended. Cash is King builds on the language and concepts from Accounting & Finance for Non-Financial Managers, so taking them in order gives you the clearest picture.

  • I manage a department budget. Is this for me?

Yes. This course shows you how to build a budget, monitor it throughout the year, and understand how your department’s spending affects the company’s cash.

  • Is the Bookkeeping Community included?

Yes. It’s a place for students across all of my courses and Certificate Programs to ask questions, share what they’re working on, and connect with others learning the same material.

  • What should I take after this course?

Financial Analysis & Planning for Non-Financial Managers, the final course in the Financial Essentials for Non-Financial Professionals Certificate Program.
