Hi, I'm Sharon.

Your instructor, and your biggest cheerleader.

I spent 10 years in corporate accounting, and I've now been teaching for 22 years through continuing education and workforce development programs at universities and colleges. I've spent my career on both sides of the numbers: producing them and explaining them to the people who rely on them.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Education from Temple University, a Pennsylvania Department of Education teaching certificate in Accounting, and I'm a Certified Online Instructor.

But here's what matters most: so many smart, capable professionals walk in convinced they're "not a numbers person." Most of them are wrong. They just never had it explained clearly.

That's my job. Plain English, step by step, until it clicks.

Questions? Good. Here Are the Answers.

  • Should I take the first two courses first?

It’s recommended. This course puts the concepts from Accounting & Finance for Non-Financial Managers and Cash is King to work, so taking them in order gives you the strongest foundation.

  • Is there a lot of math?

Some, but it’s practical and explained step by step with real-world examples. The focus is on what the numbers mean and how to use them.

  • I’m not a manager yet. Is this for me?

Yes. Financial literacy is one of the skills that gets people promoted. Learning it now puts you ahead when the opportunity comes.

  • Is the Bookkeeping Community included?

Yes. It’s a place for students across all of my courses and Certificate Programs to ask questions, share what they’re working on, and connect with others learning the same material.
